How it works ?
Keskersay allows you to store information on items that you own. This will then provide evidence that you are the legal owner of these items.
Once you have an account with Keskersay you will be able to create an item inventory. You will be able to upload up to 4 images of the item; we strongly recommend that one of these images is a copy of the purchase receipt.
You will enter some key information against the item for example:
- A public description of the item. This will then be available to be placed in the lost/stolen area and allow people to let you know they have found the item.
- A detailed description, which only you will have access to. This may well describe some unique way of identifying your item, which only you would know. One of the images uploaded may well correspond to this hidden detail.
- Date of purchase, where it was purchased and how much it was purchased for. One of the images uploaded could well be proof of these details.
- The name of the company the item is insured with. And contact details in case you need to contact the insurance company. Even you policy number.
- Any serial number or unique number that the item has.
Then in the unlikely event any of your items are lost or stolen you can easily prove that you own them. You would then make them available to the lost / stolen area where people can search for items they have found or are offered to purchase.
Using this method anyone offered to purchase something can easily and quickly search Keskersay to see if the item has been reported lost or stolen.
